Each bag has a nylon or cotton canvas exterior that has a heavy duty rubber backing. The rubber backing, that is invisible from the outside, works as our first line of defense by creating odor containment and resistance to water.
The carbon filter system has 3 separate layers. The two outer white layers are synthetic filters, and the middle layer is activated charcoal. Combined these layers create a filtration system that soaks up all unwanted odors.
Although at first it looks solely cosmetic, the lining actually protects the filter system from wear and tear, allowing the bag to have greater longevity.
Great materials but it could've been manufactured more precisely as the zipper lining on mine does not seal and close on multiple spots because it can't connect from the asymmetry of the lining. It probably also effects the water resistance. So only the front zipper is smell proof/water resistant. It took multiple weeks to get it over to my country so I can't simply exchange it either without paying for shipping probably. Quite a disappointment on that regard. Size wise it's perfect and it fits nicely on the body. I wish I got what I paid for but it is still a usable bag I guess, so 3 stars is appropriate in my case.

Love the lining and the materials used, especially when it comes to a bumbag/**** pack. I do wish the strap were a bit more adjustable though for those of us with 28-30in wastes or below….i have to clothespin a good inch of the strap together to keep it at my waist.
Super small, alot of pockets inside which is something i look for in a bag ! & the smell proof tops it off !! Definitely recommend
